I was watching "The Magicians" and in Season 1 where the main cast wanted to learn Battle Magic quickly, their mind has to be devoid of any emotion so they can channel the spells with 100% clarity.
So I was thinking how it would relate to the spell casting in the WoW universe. Wouldn't mages need a calm mind to channel their spells?
